Death piling is where you die and all your items go to the floor for 1 hour. The looting bag breaks and the contained items go to the floor. This is the recommended way to get your items from your looting bags.
Lumbridge deathpiling
Lumbridge basement is where I typically deathpile.
Go into the Lumbridge basement cave without a light source, wait for the bugs to kill you, set a 1-hour timer for your items to despawn. Hurry and do what you need to do and return to get your items before the timer runs out.
To get a looting bag, pickpocket some men in Lumbridge, buy an axe from Bob (16 gp), chop a canoe to row to Edgeville and buy one from the wilderness slayer master. Take a canoe back to Lumbridge.
